Our President, Monique Allen, offers over 15 years of progressive Business Development experience in the A/E/C industry including 12 years in Marketing, Public Outreach/Information, & Emergency Management. She is a dedicated professional who provides prompt and responsive service and has proven success directing internal minority programs and compliance. Ms. Allen enjoys being involved with her community and participated weekly as a Mayor’s Mentor assisting preteen girls in local schools, as well as staying involved in an array of associations related to the industry including SMPS in conjunction with memberships or active participation in WTS, ULI, JIAMC, FCMA, CREW, and COMTO.
Ms. Allen’s experience also encompasses providing Project Oversight on various pursuits which require close interaction with the public on projects such as Hurricane & Tropical Storm Debris Oversight, Project New Ground, and Roadway/Transportation projects. This necessitated quick and effective coordination of meetings, events, and updates to keep the public informed and further the objective of each project. Monique also served as the Diversity Chair for the Advancement of Women in Transportation (WTS) where she was responsible for promoting the participation and interests of minorities of the local community related to the A/E/C industry.
Ms. Allen is responsible for business development, marketing, human resource management, daily operations, and developing organizational policies to support the firm’s projected renewal and growth milestones. She ensures client satisfaction through delivery of exceptional service. She also manages the implementation of our marketing plan based on the firm’s financial plan and strategies to achieve short and long-term goals while establishing relationships with Prime and Sub-consultant firms as teaming partners for current and upcoming opportunities.
Laurie Allen serves as our CEO and has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. She is an effective decision-maker with the ability to build strong working relationships with clients and staff. Ms. Allen’s project experience includes providing contract administration and personnel for projects ranging from $275k to $55M inclusive of roadway improvements to major underground utility, reservoir, tunneling, airport, and wastewater treatment plant upgrades.
Laurie is responsible for strategic planning, corporate growth, capital allocation, marketing, day-to-day operations, and project coordination for the office. She oversees Business Development in order to identify and set company goals. She performs strategic planning aligned with company vision to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual objectives and long-term business plan. Ms. Allen forms partnerships with potential teaming partners to enhance ACMS’ market share to attract and retain new clients and maintain/expand relationships with our existing clients.
